Easter face painting at our stores

Many practices surround the entire Lent season, Holy Week, and Easter Sunday, and we believe this is a very special time to spend with family and loved ones, with many observed traditions across the globe that include the Easter bunny, coloured eggs, gift baskets, flowers, family gathering and now face painting!

At Wind Group we understand the value of traditions and family, and we want to join you on this special occasion with free face painting for the smallest of the house, as a way of saying thank you for choosing us. The free face painting will be held on Sunday, April 17th, from 1 pm to 4 pm, under the knowledgable and wonderful creativity of Dotsy the Clown and her team. On this day 3 talented face painters will be stationed at East Izakaya St. Catharines, East Izakaya Niagara Falls, and Wind Mississauga, to paint the faces of the little ones and celebrate the occasion! The event is free from charge for all our guests.

Did you know that face painting has been around for thousands of years?

Originally traced to the indigenous people of Australia and Africa, the tribespeople would adorn their faces and bodies with clay, charcoal, and other natural pigments during ceremonies, with a choice of colours that would depend on the available raw materials they had in that region, such as red clays and blue dyes from berries. In North America, face painting was an integral part of Indian culture, and it was used as religious decoration and hunting camouflage, adding also feathers and other items that could be locally found. Over time, the evolution of face painting has split into military subterfuge, a form of decoration and a way of entertainment.

If looking for something different to celebrate this Easter, visit us at East St. Catharines, East Niagara Falls, or Wind Mississauga, on April 17th from 1 to 4 pm. For more information please contact us at
